This PCB File Comparator from Unisoft allows you to
compare one PCB file against another, including elements such as the
Bill of Materials (BOM), component reference designators, pin XY
coordinates, device type, surface, etc. Use this free tool to validate
changes between PCB revisions quickly and accurately. Ideal for QA,
Engineering, and Procurement teams.
To compare component reference designators,
pin XY coordinates, device type, and surface:
- Open the first PCB to be compared with the Unisoft software and export
the .FBA file by clicking EXPORT CAD from the top MENU, then select
EXPORT STANDARD CAD FILE [.FBA] and
name the .FBA file accordingly.
- Next, open
the second PCB to be compared with the Unisoft software and export the
.FBA file by clicking EXPORT CAD from the top MENU, then select EXPORT STANDARD CAD FILE [.FBA] and name the
.FBA file accordingly.
- At the top of this
display, select the first file created and the second file accordingly,
then click the Compare button.
To compare Bill of Materials (BOM):
- Open the first PCB to be
compared with the Unisoft software and export the BOM file by clicking
EXPORT STANDARD BOM FILE from the top MENU, then click SORT BY PART
NUMBER and name the BOM file accordingly.
- Next, open the second
PCB to be compared with the Unisoft software and export the BOM file by
clicking EXPORT STANDARD BOM FILE from the top MENU, then click SORT BY
PART NUMBER and name the BOM file accordingly.
- At the top of
this display, select the first file created and the second file
accordingly, then click the Compare button.
